Multi level marketing encourages its members to recruit more people to sell products as part of their own downline. The recruiter then also receives commissions on the goods that their downline sells. If the person they referred also recruits people, the original person receives commissions on all sales in their downline. This is where the term "Multi Level" comes in.
When a person operates this type of homebased business, the main goal is not as much selling the companies merchandise, as building their downline.
Before you start a homebased business with Multi Level Marketing, ensure you have an understanding of the following:
1) Who's in your upline? How easy they are to contact and how much support will they give?
2) What product will you be promoting? Understand your product as well as your competition.
3) What is the average time before you start making money? Don't just accept that it's possibly months or years to profit. Although earning a living is a different story.
4) Are their any restrictions on product promotion? Theirs no correct answer but the more restrictions, the harder it is.
5) Is the building of your downline the primary sales pitch or the product? If the product is not worth selling by itself, you won't recruit people to sell it.
6) What is the long term advantage of this type of homebased business? Don't just focus on short term profit.
Their's no incorrect answers to questions pertaining to this type of homebased business. Just ensure that you know what it is you are getting into and that it is right for you.
